About the isometric graph paper
Isometric paper replaces the square grid with equilateral triangles formed by vertical lines and two sets of lines at 30 degrees to the horizontal. Those three directions match the three axes of an isometric drawing, so cubes, prisms and technical parts can be sketched in 3D without any perspective distortion — every edge stays true to length. It is used in design and engineering classes, and for drawing volume problems with cubes.
