About the centimeter graph paper

Centimeter graph paper uses a one-centimetre grid, the metric standard in most of the world and the grid of choice for science work, scale drawings and any task where measurements are taken directly from the page. Because it prints true to scale, a ruler laid across the sheet lines up with the grid exactly. It is slightly finer than quarter-inch paper (1 cm is a little under 0.4 in).

Frequently asked questions

Are the squares exactly 1 cm?

Yes, when printed at 100% scale on US Letter. Turn off "fit to page" or the grid will shrink slightly.

Is centimeter paper the same as 1/4 inch paper?

No. A centimetre is about 0.394 inches, so centimetre squares are a little larger than quarter-inch squares and the two grids do not line up.

Is it free to print?

Yes — print it or download the PDF or PNG free, with no sign-up.
