About these worksheets
Equivalent fractions are the multiplication tables of fraction work: 3/4 becomes 9/12 because both parts were multiplied by 3. Each problem here gives the original fraction and the new denominator; the child finds the multiplier, then the missing numerator. That two-step reasoning — “what times 4 makes 12?” — is exactly the skill later needed for common denominators. Pair with fraction strips to keep it visual.

How do you find the missing numerator?
Ask what the denominator was multiplied by, then do the same to the numerator: 3/4 = ?/12 → 4×3 = 12, so 3×3 = 9.
