About these worksheets
Counting coins is skip counting with stakes: start with the biggest coins (count the quarters by 25s), then add dimes by tens, nickels by fives, pennies by ones. Each row here mixes quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies in realistic handfuls, drawn with correct relative sizes — including the eternal confusion that the dime is smaller than the nickel but worth more. Totals run up to a dollar or so.

Why is the dime drawn smallest?
