About these worksheets
Three-digit addition is where the column algorithm proves its worth: the same right-to-left, carry-when-you-must routine, now across hundreds, tens and ones. Every sheet mixes problems that carry from the ones, from the tens, from both and from neither, so students have to check every column. Nine to fourteen of the twenty sums pass 1,000, so the last carry adds a fourth digit.
