About these worksheets
Each triangle holds a family: the product on top, the two factors below. From 8, 6 and 48 come four facts: 8×6, 6×8, 48÷8 and 48÷6. Writing all four shows that multiplication and division use the same three numbers: 48 ÷ 6 = 8 is the fact 6 × 8 = 48 read backward. The two factors in each triangle are different numbers from 2 to 9, so the products run from 6 to 72.

Frequently asked questions
How do fact family triangles work?
Cover any corner and the other two numbers demand it back: cover 48 and you multiply; cover a factor and you divide. Writing all four facts per triangle makes the structure explicit.
Why teach division through fact families?
Because 48 ÷ 6 asks “6 times what is 48?” — division is literally a multiplication question. Fact families make that visible instead of mysterious.
