About these worksheets
Each triangle holds a family: the product on top, the two factors below. From 8, 6 and 48 come four facts — 8×6, 6×8, 48÷8, 48÷6 — and writing all four is what welds multiplication and division into one relationship instead of two subjects. Division stops being new material; it’s the same triangle read downhill.

Frequently asked questions
How do fact family triangles work?
Cover any corner and the other two numbers demand it back: cover 48 and you multiply; cover a factor and you divide. Writing all four facts per triangle makes the structure explicit.
Why teach division through fact families?
Because 48 ÷ 6 asks “6 times what is 48?” — division is literally a multiplication question. Fact families make that visible instead of mysterious.
Is there an addition version?
Yes — the addition and subtraction fact family worksheet uses the same triangles with sums.
