About the college ruled paper
College ruled paper (also called medium ruled) spaces its lines about 7.1 mm apart and adds a vertical margin down the left, giving roughly 33 lines on a US Letter page. The tighter spacing is the standard for high school and university note-taking because it fits noticeably more writing on a sheet than wide ruled. If the writing is for a younger child, wide ruled is the easier choice.
