How to learn the 13 times table
There’s no folk pattern for 13, and there doesn’t need to be: 13 × n is just 10 × n + 3 × n. 13 × 6 = 60 + 18 = 78. Practising the teens this way is really practising the distributive property — the same idea behind long multiplication.
